China Huadian Corporation, abbreviated as CHD, was established on December 29, 2002 with a registered capital of 37 billion yuan. It is one of the five state-owned wholly-owned power generation enterprise groups established during the reform of the national power system, and is a super large central enterprise supervised by the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. It is also an important state-owned backbone enterprise directly under the central government. Its main businesses include four major industrial sectors: power generation, coal, science and industry, and finance. Its assets and businesses are mainly distributed in 31 provinces (districts, cities) and countries along the "the Belt and Road", such as Russia, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
