Southwest Oil and Gas Field has achieved significant progress in the efficient development of deep carbonate gas reservoirs in Penglai Gas Field by utilizing the high-temperature gel acid technology independently developed by the Natural Gas Research Institute during the oil testing and transformation operation of the first development well in the Zhongshen 103 well area, Penglai 001-H31 well.
The Zhongshen 103 well area is one of the important blocks for production in Southwest oil and gas fields, but the karst fracture cave reservoir has strong heterogeneity, with a burial depth of over 5000 meters and a reservoir temperature of over 150 degrees Celsius.
At high temperatures, the corrosion rate of acid on metal pipes is relatively high, which can easily cause damage to the pipe column. At the same time, the reaction rate between acid and rock increases significantly with temperature, making it difficult to deeply communicate with reservoir fractures and caves, "said Zhang Xingde, a technician from the acid research and development team of the Natural Gas Research Institute.
In response to this, the R&D team of the Natural Gas Research Institute has clarified the research and development concept of using ultra-high temperature acidification corrosion inhibitors as the core, supplemented by acid gelling agents and drag reducing agents, and other series of additives through on-site sampling and indoor experiments. Combined with the characteristics of reservoir rock cores, they have focused on overcoming the difficulties of acid viscosity attenuation and limited crack extension at high temperatures, and have developed a high-temperature gelling acid technology system using compatibility optimization and other methods.
This system can effectively improve the deceleration performance of acid fluids at high temperatures between 150 and 180 degrees Celsius, maintain viscosity, and provide safety guarantees for key equipment such as oil pipes and downhole tools in ultra deep high-temperature wells.
During the construction process, the technical team tracked the entire process and achieved a 100% efficiency in the transformation of Penglai 001-H31 well, with a 60% increase in single well production capacity compared to adjacent wells.
